The Challenge
A working sculptor with a substantial body of physical work had no durable digital home for it. Galleries, collectors and press each encountered the practice piecemeal — through social feeds that flatten scale, lose context and disappear from search entirely.
Our Approach
- 1
Structured the catalogue around the work itself — series, medium, process — instead of a generic portfolio grid.
- 2
Built an image pipeline that preserves the fidelity sculpture needs while staying fast on constrained mobile connections.
- 3
Added a journal surface so studio process becomes an ongoing reason to return, not a one-time launch.
- 4
Made the whole site statically rendered and indexable, so the practice is discoverable outside social platforms.
What Changed
- A permanent, self-owned home for the catalogue independent of any social platform.
- Direct enquiry route from collectors and galleries.
- Studio updates publishable by the artist without developer involvement.
